More Red Carpet Dresses

Just looking at dressesshop.com for more red carpet dress options, and also album photoshoot dresses.

I have to say, I am loving this red/white combo dress. Maybe not for the red carpet, but definitely for photoshoot. It would be great next to a grand piano.

This dress took me a while to decide if I liked it or not, because I can't really tell the shape of the cut with how the model is standing on the boat, plus the wind is really blowing. But I love the flowers on the back with the faux-nude material to cover up the back.

This one has gorgeous sleeves that could be easily lined.

This one is very romantic and whimsical.

And this one is just awesome. It has a white underskirt that shows through the sparkly black top layer.

Date Night: Josh Groban

We had a date night, and I have to say it was a long time in coming.

I don't know if it's that we've been uber-busy, or that we've expired our babysitters out on using them on music days rather than date nights (thus didn't want to ask again). But the fact remains that we were desparately in need of a date night and so when it came, we were very excited.

I told Will months and months ago that I really wanted to go to the Josh Groban concert when he came to Seattle. He came here a couple of years ago and I so regret not going.

So did my man deliver or did he deliver?

YES we went to the Josh Groban concert!

We first enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Seattle Center food court while people watching all the downtown weirdos, then headed over to the Key Arena for the concert.

It was a great concert. I was especially excited to see Josh perform because I have been a long time fan. I attended his PBS filming in Los Angeles several years ago and actually ended up on his DVD special footage, which you can see below...

So it was great to see him again in concert. It was neat to see how he had really "come into his own" over the years. His music and voice have evolved and he is still one of my favorite musicians.

Here is some video footage that I took of the concert. Enjoy...

While we were enjoying ourselves being crooned to by Joshy, the boys got to stay home with a fun and rare babysitter - Aunt Tessha. She is here visiting for the week, and she had a great time with Preston and Taylor. And I was pretty impressed that she was able to get Taylor down to bed without a fight. That is talent.

A Taylor Post: 1st Birthday!!

I have food poisoning today and don't feel so hot, but while I have pawned my children off for the day so that I can just be sick and nothing else, I decided I was miraculously up to blogging. Forgive me for not taking the time to enlarge the photos any further. That is for non-sick people to do.

Enjoy Taylor's 1st birthday post!

1 Year Ago Today

1 Year ago, I was super duper pregnant and ready to have our 2nd baby.

1 Year ago today, August 17th, 2010, at 2:00 a.m., my water broke and we headed to the hospital expecting our little Taylor to enter the world shortly thereafter...

After 20 hours of, well, nothing, the doctors and us decided to proceed with a C-section.

And sometime right around 10:00 p.m., the hospital operating room's concentrated mood was broken with the sound of a baby's cry...

Will and I looked at him and thought he looked just like his big brother, Preston. He was a healthy 8 pounds even, and 19.75 inches long.

He was so precious and adorable...

The next morning, big brother Preston got to meet his little brother for the very first time. He was SO excited, and so gentle and kind.

It took us 2 days to finally name him...Taylor Alexander Thomas.

He has been such a sweet addition to our family.

And now look at him!

Happy birthday Taylor! Our spunky adventurous no-fear little redheaded baby!

P.S. Will's sister, Elizabeth, had their baby today too and so we have a new niece and they'll get to share their birthdays! How fun!
